Cure Face Acne

Facial acne, while the most common, can also be the most frustrating. It usually appears in the oilier T-zone where there are large numbers of sebaceous glands, the area encompassing the forehead, nose and chin. But, as we know, acne is not necessarily limited to the T-zone and can erupt on the cheeks as well.

It's important to understand what causes acne in order to select an effective acne medication. Besides external causes, acne can also be caused by internal imbalances due to diet, stress or changes in your body.

Use facial soaps specifically designed for acne. Nowadays, there are sulfur-based soaps that are made to heal and dry acne fast. Wash your face at least two times every day. First wash should be done in the morning when you wake up and second, at night before you sleep.

Bacteria in pores is one cause of facial acne. Reduce the amount of bacteria by using toners containing anti-bacterial agents like alcohol, peroxide and benzalkonium chloride, and by using creams that contain benzoyl peroxide, which kill bacteria as well as cause the skin to regenerate faster.

Don't pop that pimple right away. Popping a pimple prematurely, before you can see the puss about to burst the skin, can cause a mild skin infection, a cyst (by pushing the infection further down into the pore), or even worse, a terrible scar. Wait until you can see the yellow puss about to break through the skin.

Do not wear makeup if possible. Makeup products can clog your pores, cause more blackheads and pimples. If you have to wear makeup, make sure it is water-based. Be sure to clean your makeup brushes regularly and cleanse your skin before you sleep.

It's commonly known that sun also helps to reduce acne, however, this is only a short term solution. Studies have shown that getting a lot of sun makes your acne even worse in the long run, so I wouldn't recommend this as a treatment.

Drink a lot of water. This will not keep your skin moist but will help in overall upkeep of your health (and in turn your skin). It might seem a bit awkward to some, however, this is an important skin care tip.

You also must keep your hair clean as well. Hair oils and dirt can clog the tubes that lead to the oil glands to the top of the skin. Your hands are another way of transmitting dirt and oils to your skin.

Shaving is actually a great exfoliating treatment the removes dead skin. However you should never shave an area that is infected or inflamed. Always use a shaving cream if your skin is sensitive.

I think I was finally starting to understand what I had been missing all alone, finally I cut could through all the hype and get the truth.

There are 8 acne myths you're not get rid of acne like you really want... Guaranteed!

Frequent washing may further flare up acne?

Acne is not caused by the environmental dirt. It is the blockage of sebaceous glands that cause acne. With frequent washing, you may further spread the infection and get scars.

Toothpaste can cure acne?

Toothpaste cannot cure acne. For acne cure, you have to use topical such as benzoyl peroxide. Antibiotics will help if you have inflammation. Salicylic acid is another good medicine for application. Ask your doctor before using anything.

It is not teenagers only, but anyone can get acne. Anybody can get acne. It is not related only to teenagers. Most of the teenagers get it because of hormonal changes in the teen years.

Rosacea is a severe for of acne?

Rosacea has no relation to acne. It is a different disorder though it mimics acne sometimes.

You can get acne on other parts of the body other than the face?

You can get acne wherever there is a sebaceous gland connected to a hair follicle. Places such as upper arms, chest, etc. are all prone to acne.

Acne is just a cosmetic disease?

Yes, acne does affect the way people look and is not otherwise a serious threat to a person's physical health. However, acne can result in permanent physical scars--plus, acne itself as well as its scars can affect the way people feel about themselves to the point of affecting their lives.

Popping pimples will help them go away faster?

Popping a pimple may make it seem less noticeable temporarily, but popping can cause it to stay around longer. By squeezing pimples and zits, you can actually push bacteria further into the skin, causing more swelling and redness - and sometimes causing a red or brown mark or scar to form. Sometimes marks can last for many months and true scars (dents and pits) will last forever.

The sun will help get rid of acne?

The sun may work in the short-term to hasten the clearing of existing acne while reddening your skin, thus blending your skin tone with red acne marks. However, a sun burn is actually skin damage. Sun exposure causes irritation which can make acne worse. People will often notice their skin breaking out as it heals from sun damage. The sun is a short-term band-aid which will often bite back with more acne in the weeks following exposure. Having said that, I don't want to give the impression that the sun is evil. It is not. We get our vitamin D from the sun for instance. Limiting sun exposure on acne prone areas of your body is most likely prudent, but some exposure from time to time is not only unavoidable, but is perfectly okay.

Tips To Get Rid Of Acne

This may come as a surprise... but acne can easily be kept under control in most cases with just a few simple changes to your daily routine.

I suffered with acne as a teenager. If I had known back then what I am about to share with you, I would never have had to go through the trauma and embarrassment which tends to go hand in hand with acne.

The first and most important step of keeping acne away, is to keep your face clean.

Clean your face with plenty of water several times a day (atleast twice a day). Use a good cleanser that is suited to your skin type, but don't use a product that is too harsh as to damage your skin. Your sought after outcome is for clean, clear and blemish-free skin, not damaged acne-free skin.

Protect your skin with a good moisturizer.

If you don't protect your skin, and you allow it to become too dry, your oil glands with start to overwork trying to compensate. This will ofcourse have a negative effect and will pave the way for acne to appear.

Drink plenty of water. Ofcourse filtered or bottled water is always better than tap water.

You should drink even more water after eating foods such as "Junk" type foods. This extra water will rid your body faster of the ammunition that would normally start off an acne rampage.

Try to eat a healthy diet. The words "we are what we eat" are words you should definitely keep in mind when battling acne.

Lots of fresh vegetables and fruit are wonderful for keeping your body healthy and for keeping acne away!

Vitamins can on occasion help with your battle also!

Sometimes, in severe cases of acne, there is a lacking of vitamins involved. Consulting your doctor and health food expert about this will soon put you on the right path to healthier skin. Guidance is needed for some vitamins as to the safe dosage you need, so aways check before you start on a new course of vitamins.

Washing your hair regularly also plays a large part in keeping acne away.

Just like with cleaning your face, you should also care for your hair with regular washing and the correct conditioning and care. You also have oil glands in your scalp, and you don't want these to become too overactive either.

Don't soak up too much sun.

Apart from the obvious risks of skin cancer, too much sun will dry your skin out. This will cause your skin to age faster, and will damage your skin. Remember what you are trying to acheive here.....clear blemish-free skin, not wrinkly skin!!

The Best Method For Treating Adult Acne

It is a common myth that only teenagers and those in their adolescent years going through puberty experience acne. While it is true that teens make up a majority of the acne-infected population, it can hit at any age, including adulthood. It's a skin condition which is inflammatory and hits those with fair skin the most. Adult acne is mostly caused by a hormonal imbalance in the body, usually seen in women who are going through pregnancy of menopause. The hormonal imbalance leads to oils building up in the pores of the skin which clog them up and create acne. This is a condition which a surprising number of adults suffer from.

Taking care of your acne when you are in your adult years is just as important as taking care of it when you were younger. When you go in search of an acne-treatment product, your goal should be to find one that will get rid of the blemishes and prevent scarring from forming on your effected areas. Make sure you purchase products that don't contain potent chemicals that may damage your skin further.

If you are suffering from adult acne and it is not too severe of a case, then you can treat it when commonly used topical treatments, including oral medication (antibiotics). If you have a more severe form of adult acne, then it is highly recommended that you opt for systemic therapy, which consists of isotretinoin, corticosteroid injections, and oral medications such an antibiotics and contraceptives.

In this country, medicines such as benzoyl peroxide and erythromycin are commonly used to treat adult acne. Other topical retinoid treatments include adapalene, tretinoin, and tazarotene.

The important thing to remember in your search for a cure or way of treating your acne is to be patient. Not every product on the market will work for everyone, since everyone has different types of skin. Stay positive and keep up the battle.

How To Get Rid Of Body Acne

Many of us have gone through acne flare-ups in our teens. However, some of us may still get yacne in our adult years. Those who have acne on the face are likely to have acne on the body. Body acne is often found on the back and chest, and sometimes on the arms and legs. Just like with facial acne, the development of acne scars are highly possible on the body.

The skin on the body is more active in terms of producing oils, sweat, and hormonal levels. It is also more exposed to irritants such as when the skin is constantly rubbing against clothing. When you sweat from daily activities or exercise, the sweat and oils tend to accumulate on your body's skin pores, giving bacteria an opportunity to proliferate and cause irritation, infection, and inflammation. This article will show you some ways on how to get rid of bod acne.

Practice Good Hygiene

One of the first things you can do to eliminate body acne is by getting into a daily cleansing regimen. Practice good hygiene and shower everyday and after you exercise. Doing this can flush out a good amount of bacteria and excess oils that clog up the pores. However, do not over-wash, as this can make the sebaceous glands in your skin to produce excess sebum. Moreover, use gentle cleansers with no added fragrances or other additives that can irritate and dry the skin. Exfoliate every now and then with a body scrub or loofa to get rid of dead skin cells that clog pores and cause body acne.

Hydrate Inside And Out

After taking a shower, make sure to moisturize with a body lotion, preferably with sunscreen. Lotions keep your body supple and hydrated, preventing excess dryness that causes body acne. Drink enough water (8 glasses daily) to flush out toxins and improve blood circulation. A body free of toxins and with good blood circulation helps nutrients and oxygen reach the skin effectively.

Make Lifestyle Changes

Eat more fruits and vegetables, as these contain antioxidants that fight against free radicals that damage skin. Continue to exercise, as exercising helps flush out toxins through sweat.

Get Proper Treatment

Another key to getting rid of body acne is by using the right treatment. You should find a treatment that cleanses pores, soothes inflammation, and gets rid of dead skin cells at the same time. Some treatments contains acne-fighting agents that do all those important tasks. For instance, you can use the Botanical Acne Mask and Spot Treatment to suck out excess oil in the skin, kill bacteria, unclog pores, and improve absorption of other treatment agents; at the same time, you can use the Botanical Body Acne Wash to slough off dead skin cells and improve blood circulation to achieve clearer, younger-looking skin.

Using a combination of products can enhance results. In addition to that, practicing good hygiene, hydrating your body, eating healthy, and exercising regularly can make you achieve even better results.
